e-Audio

A format that makes use of digital technology. You listen to books that have been downloaded to a pocket-sized battery-operated audio device otherwise known as an MP3 player.

The library now has 32 players and each has a separate title downloaded to it.
Some of the titles are:

Painted House by John Grisham
Widow’s Walk by Robert Parker
Master of the Senate by Robert Caro.

Look under the subject e-Audio in the library’s catalog to see all 32 titles.

Included with the player:

  • Carrying case
  • Headset
  • Cassette adapter (for playing through a standard cassette player)
  • Transmitter (makes use of an unused frequency on your car radio’s fm band)
  • Instructions for care and use

At present the players are all housed at the headquarters library in Cambridge. If you live in other parts of East Central Regional Library’s service area, simply place a hold on the title you want and the player will be delivered to the branch library you specify.

The e-Audio project is made possible with support from the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA). If you have questions or comments about the e-Audio project, contact the project coordinator at marilynm@ecrl.lib.mn.us
